Born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, Dida's first passion was for dance. A passion she realized many years as a ballerina with the Romanian National Ballet. Dida knew that a career in dance could not last forever so she enrolled in beautician school where she mastered the arts of manicure and pedicure. In doing so, Dida was able to continue in her life's work to make people happy.
In 1987 Dida moved to New York with her two young children. Fast and impressive, Dida's entrance into the world of fashion and beauty began at the prestigious Warren-Tricomi salon and simultaneously at Bradley Curry Management.
Over 25 years, Dida built an impeccable roster of advertising, beauty, video, and celebrity clients. Dida has worked with Herb Ritts, Mario Testino, Patrick Demarchelier, Matthew Rolston, Jerry Hall, Halle Berry, Heidi Klum, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, Julie Bowen, Julianne Moore, Beyonce and Jennifer Gardner among many others. Some of her clients include Avon, Neutrogena, Almay, L'Oreal, Estee Lauder, David Yurman and Maybelline. Additionally, Dida has worked with major photographers such as Albert Watson, Matthew Rolston, Mario Testino, Ruven Afanador, Herb Ritts, Michael Williams, and more.
Dida has taken care of some of the most famous hands in the world. Giving loving care to both hands and feet is extremely important to Dida as this art brings equilibrium to her life. Asked what her secret is and Dida says: It's nice to be important, but it's important to be nice.
