As an internationally-known fine-art and commercial photographer, Kevin Arnold has spent a decade hanging off cliffs, kayaking storm swells, and trekking through blizzards all in the name of getting the shot. For his personal projects, Kevin has embedded with armed anti-poaching rangers patrolling Tsavo National Park in Kenya, skied icy alpine chutes with avalanche bombers in the Coast Mountains, and documented the plight of locals living in the Brazilian Amazon.
Kevin's advertising work is in demand by iconic brands and creative agencies worldwide. His most recent work includes campaigns for Nikon, The Nature Conservancy, Woods Canada, Mercedes- Benz, Salomon, and others. Whether he is heading up a large-scale advertising production or shooting a far- flung fine-art project, Kevin is a relentless visual explorer.
He believes there is an inherent truth in discovered moments. That the best images are both honest and believable. Creating a powerful narrative with a distinct visual character requires meticulous planning and attention to detail, a willingness to take risks, the ability to fluidly direct dynamic sequences, and the confidence to improvise and let scenes unfold naturally. His goal is to create images that don't just feel real, but are real. How he achieves that goal may vary from shoot to shoot, but Kevin's motivation is always the same: To curate a campaign of visually distinct images that not only get it right technically, but also hit you in the gut emotionally.
